I missed last year - the first time in 7 years - and swear I will never miss another BBR again! It is the highlight of my summer and I am counting down the daze....... Bringin a virgin BBR attendee with me this year! Wahoo! Oh, and we'll be hooking up with Those Damn Oregon Ducks again! GO BRONCOS!

muzz i can not wait to get back

Those Darn Oregon Ducks...

May 22, 2014

7th year for BBR. 1st year we bought a local English bulldog up in gods country. Some folks who not familiar with the lineup should just stay home... I keep faith Robert Earl Keen, Asleep at the Wheel, Ray Wylie Hubbard may grace us with their presence again one of these years... yet killer lineup all 3 days! We've never acquired "reserved" camping>>>the neighbors are some wonderful folks to let the Oregon flag fly. It may be hot, it may hail nickels, Idaho might be burning down, wouldn't miss it for nothing..

Vinny The Shark

May 19, 2014

This will be Vinny and Becki's 7th BBR in a row. Looking forward to it, once again. For those of you wanting to see The Dirty River Boys, they'll be at the Rod & Gun Club in Stanley, August 6th, the day before BBR starts. You know Vinny will be there. You should be too.

Valerie cooper

May 19, 2014

This will be our 1st BBR. We've tried for years to go and this year it will finally work.
We are not sure of the camping situation. Is there still camping available? Someone mentioned the fish pond?? We would appreciate any information.
Thanks .... we are extremly excited for this years lineup.

May 16, 2014

Less than 3 Months to go! We can't wait for another awesome BBR!

Hey, Muzz,

Is the Muzz Ball Golf Tourn a go again in 2014? Good time!

Lodging is tough to get in Challis during the BBR. Since you are going on to Yellowstone, I'd suggest trying the Bear bottom in Mackay 60 miles to the south east from Challis. their # is 208-588-2483 or the Wagon Wheel Motel in Mackay. Or plan on camping...lots of great camping in the area.

KRR

May 7, 2014

We are looking for a place for 4 people to stay Saturday night of the BBR. I've tried everywhere. We are traveling from Texas and heading to Yellowstone before coming to Idaho. Any suggestions? I have called everywhere in Challis I think :(

Dan & Kittrick Kauffman

April 26, 2014

We have guests traveling from Minnesota and Boise,Idaho for the fabulous concert. We are hoping to reserve a spot for a camper and possibly put a tent on the spot too. We are NEW to the reunion however the guest from Minnesota is a huge fan of the Braun Brothers and is finally coming to visit us in Salmon,Idaho for the Reunion Festival so we want to be sure to have a great spot to rest our head! Looking forward to the amazing music with friends, new friends and family.

April 17, 2014

Can hardly believe how good this year's lineup is! Thursday night is going to be epic....I've wanted to see Chris Knight for years, and Turnpike was probably the highlight of 2013 BBR for me. This will be my 5th year, but I have to say I'm completely heartbroken to not see Wade Bowen on the lineup like usual! Any hope he'll be a late addition? Those of you who don't already know the music of Radney Foster, Rodney Crowell, etc. are truly missing out! Look em up... 2014 BBR is gonna be a blast.

drayton hollingsworth

April 5, 2014

March 29, 2014

Wow! great roster this year. For those who are disappointed, ignorance is Not bliss... The BBR is!!! Chris Knight, Rodney Crowell, and Radney Foster are Legends! can't wait to see Hayes with his band! Keep up the good work Muzzie and JoAnn!

carol

March 29, 2014

I have to agree with Jim...I was so surprised to read that some were disappointed with the 2014 artists--this is a stellar group! To continue...The Greencards played BBR in 2011 and one of their members, Kym Warner, played with RK to help out last year when Cody was sick; Jeff Crosby's band played in 2012 as I recall; of course, Hayes has played BBR before--I think in 2010; Rodney Crowell was on the BBR lineup in 2011. The only somewhat unfamiliar band might be The Black Lillies, but I have seen them several times and they are very talented--check out their website, YouTube videos, etc. They are a great fit, and this goes without saying because Muzzie and JoAnn know their stuff! See you in August!

Jim F

March 25, 2014

Seriously? This line up is amazing. Maybe the strongest BBR yet. Chris Knight will blow people away (listen to anything on "Pretty Good Guy", "Little Victories," "Enough Rope" -- hell, anything he's done). Radney Foster is a legend and one of the alltime great songwriters ("Another Way to Go" -- what an amazing record - oh, and check the co-writing and production credits on your Randy Rogers records). Does anyone not know Rodney Crowell? Jay Farrar is responsible for a half dozen of the greatest alt-country albums ever made, both with Son Volt and Uncle Tupelo (Son Volt's "Trace" is in my top 10 all time list). I encourage you to do some digging. You won't be disappointed. This year is going to be huge!!!

oregon monty

March 25, 2014

love the line up. 9 th year look forward to bbr all year

Sammy Young

March 24, 2014

I agree Idaho Bill!! There are so many great artists out there and not many are on the list. We obviously got the greats-- RK, MMC, The Departed, RRB, but really!!!! Who are the rest of these people? Super dissapointed , this would have been our 6th year in a row too

Idaho-bill

March 23, 2014

Wow!!! Terrible lineup this year....who are these people!!!

Dawna Littler

March 13, 2014

Had a wonderful time 2013 can hardly wait for this year, Braun's the BEST!!!d

Tom T.

March 11, 2014

The entire line-up was posted here for a few days before they took it down and opted for the suspense mode (which is just fine with me). It's a really strong line up this year (e.g. bands who have headlined in years past not even headlining this year, given the depth). Can't wait!!!

Pamela from Salmon, ID

March 10, 2014

Let's get EXCITED about this year! I know we all are, us Salmonites! How's about a cordial invite to Elizabeth Cook, John Prine & Todd Snider, what a line-up! I know Elizabeth don't like to camp much, but we may her a place for her to stay if she'll come to Challis! Can't wait to hear the music this year...been to all of the reunions!!! Peace, Word up & love to Mama & Papa!

Idaho Girl

March 7, 2014

This will be my first time at the BBR. I'll be flying in from Alaska. Hope they add Hard Woking Americans, Stoney Larue, Departed and/or William Clark Green. Either way, the first night is going to be worth the trip.

GS

February 27, 2014

Keep trying them Rick. reserve a dry camp spot and get on waiting list for RV park with hookups. I was 12th in line a few years ago and they called me with a spot at full hookup spots.

Heidi Hawkey

February 26, 2014

So excited to finally get to attend this years reunion!!

Jim F

February 24, 2014

@ Rick: Golf Course reservations opened January 15. They can be a little tricky to get a hold of, but are good folks. Keep trying. The part of the park with hook ups goes immediately, but the dry camp is pretty large. Good luck - might still be space. You will want to spend a lot of time in this area. We keep making our trip longer -- 2 weeks this year, and even that isn't enough,

Rick Priest

February 24, 2014

I'm 64 years young and retiring Aug 1st 2014. My inaugural event will be BBR. I've wanted to go for the last 6-7 years. Due to me living on the other side of St Louis, I have not made it YET. My plans are to pull up roots here in Illinois and go full-time RV'ing. So much of this beautiful USA that I want to see. Turnpike Troubadours are here in St Louis this Thursday 2/27/14. Reckless and Band of Heathens 3/30/14. Plenty to tide me over 'till August. Tried contacting the golf course about reservations. No reply yet. Maybe too early? I'd put a deposit down now. I'll volunteer for tear down and clean up. I'm staying at least a week after the event to wind down and soak in the area. Then off to Oklahoma for Medicine Stone.

Michael Trent

February 13, 2014

I was introduced to Muzzy and his Boys music in 1991 while on a wildland firefighting assignment and I was sold on the unique sound and lyrics that could transport me to a greater place in time. I have turned many of my western music lovin friends on to the Muzzy's true western sound. Thanks for the natural high you and your family have given me and mine. I can't wait til I retire in a few years to make the journey to the rendezvous. Would love to come sooner but there will be demanding fire seasons until that time. Thanks from an old warn-out firefighter.

Jesse madden

February 13, 2014

Super excited!! What a first nights lineup!! I've been hoping all year that Turnpike would make it back. Can't wait till August.

Jim F

February 13, 2014

Wow -- Chris Knight and the Troubadours??? That, alone, will make the weekend worth the money and the trip. Amazing!!! Can't wait to see what else is in store.

zduxgo

February 13, 2014

Yipee ki ay, what a Thursday night. A little Kentucky Hill music with Chris Knight...oughta set the stage for some rock 'em sock 'em country from the Troubadours. They pretty well brought the house down last year. Polish off the night with MMC and you've got an opening night to write home to mom about. Thanks for continuing a great tradition and if you have any openings left here's a few suggestions: from the past, Hayes Carll, Two Tons of Steel, Jason Boland, and Sons of Bill to name a few and some once and future greats, The Whiskey Sisters, Sara Petite, Marshall Chapman, Greg Trooper

Turnpike Troubadours and Jason Isbell would be tops on my list, as long as the usual suspects (RRB, RK, MMC, whatever band Cody Canada is in in August . . . ). Jason Boland, Chris Knight, Josh Abbott would all be up there too.

Cowboy Clarke

Hey Muzzie!

Would love to see Uncle Lucius, Zane Williams, Bleu Edmondson, Aaron Watson or Dirty River Boys just to name a few!

As far as the legend? How about Pat Green!

December 9, 2013

Looking forward to the 2014 lineup announcements. Hopefully RRB and Turnpike are back. It would be great to see Casey Donahew, Josh Abbott, Midnight River Choir, Jason Isbell, Holly Williams, and it has been a while since Jason Boland has played there too. Just some ideas. You always put on a great show. We always look forward to that weekend in Challis. See you on New Year's Eve in Boise.

Kelli

November 13, 2013

2013 was my first BBR & I absolutely loved it! I am hoping to come back next year. It was great seeing Reckless and The Motorcars again. And it was my first time seeing all of the others. I especially enjoyed Corb Lund and Turnpike Troubadours. I'd love to see them back in 2014. Another artist I'd love to see is Jason Boland & The Stragglers.

Lodidodger

October 15, 2013

My first time! Saw Cody and the Departed in SF in May, decided to come to your event and was not disappointed. I'm typically not a huge country music fan, but this event turned me down a red dirt road!! Right now I can't get enough of the Troubadours! Also, followed Micky and Reckless to SF the following weekend. Those bands are awesome! See you next year!!

Debi Hutta

September 14, 2013

Loved the music at the Braun Brothers reunion this summer! Great folks working to run things smoothly and perfect weather mostly. All of the performers were sensational. One recommendation I would make is to have some other food vendors at the show. Some of us can't do hot dogs and burgers so other food choices would be nice! Other than that and maybe bring Ryan Bingham next year, I just can't wait until next summer! Thanks for the amazing experience!

Vinny The Shark

August 19, 2013

This was Vinny's 6th BBR in a row. 2013 was definitely the best BBR of them all. Vinny was happy to see the reaction of the crowd for his fellow Oklahomans, The Turnpike Troubadours. Turnpike and Randy Rogers Band back to back was pure awesomeness. Thanks for another great year. Vinny will be back next year. P.S. Invite The Dirty River Boys up next year. Idaho will love them too.

Mike D.

August 16, 2013

Thanks for the amazing weekend! We flew out from Minnesota and it was well worth it, far exceeded our expectations. Everyone was great, I would agree Corb and the turnpike troubadours were great choices. The best part for me was finally getting to see muzzie, and being able to listen to the kitchen and Stanley stomp albums on repeat since the trip. See you next year!

zduxgo

August 16, 2013

We've been coming for 6 years now and this year was great as usual, but for me, the 3 acts on Friday starting with Corb Lund, going through Todd Snider, and finishing with the Troubadours was my favorite of the entire six seasons. BBR has come a long ways from the street dance in Challis on Thursday night and bring your own cooler to the concert. The music has been consistently excellent, the production near flawless, and the demand for grass space ever increasing. Keep up the great work. It's a must see every August. See you next year.

Kelly

August 15, 2013

I thought every act that took the stage was outstanding! Muzz you out did yourself this year-top to bottom-just like you do every year. We all seen something very special this year and I'm sure everyone would like to see their favorite act headline; but the reality is that the Braun family has been in the music business for a long time and I'm pretty sure they know what works and what doesn't. So when your on the message board spitting out requests for acts remember to "Stay Calm and Braun On"-Muzz & Crew will take care of it...

carol

August 15, 2013

Yep--Turnpike were the stars of this year's festival! Thanks for bringing them out and thanks for another fantastic few days--it was awesome as always.

Brent

August 14, 2013

We rolled all the way from Salmon....but our kids came up from the AZ and we all thoroughly enjoyed the weekend! Please include Turnpike in next years plans! Thanks for a great time

Jim F.

August 13, 2013

Ha -- pretty funny comment on Corb. He is an acquired taste for most. Really, if any band who played last weekend should get bumped to headliner status next year it is Turnpike Troubadors. They were the one band EVERYONE was talking about all weekend. They were amazing. Great weekend as always Muzzie -- see you next year!

Lyn

August 12, 2013

Pretty fun festival. Only 45 minutes for Corb Lund and the Hurtin' Albertans though?!? Wow... SOOOOOOO disappointing. I assume you've never seen them headline a show because the slot they had and time allotted was a disservice to everyone. Bummer... probably won't be back, unless you give them the headline spot.

June 6, 2013

Yee Ha We are so proud to announce that America's Cowboy Sweetheart singer Songwriter extodinare Suzy Bogguss is able to join us and fill in Thurday nights slot for Guy Clark. Thanks to everone that helped us with their submissions for the Thursday artist, we had over 100 different artist's suggested. I know everyone will be as thrilled as we are with Suzy Bogguss. See ya soon.
Muzzie

carol

June 3, 2013

If John Fullbright isn't already on your shortlist as a possible replacement for Guy, he should be. I saw him do a phenomenal set last week and he is amazing. Just sayin'. Only a little over two months to go!

zduxgo

May 30, 2013

Losing Guy Clark sucks. If you could persuade Hayes Carll to come, maybe he and Corb Lund would take the opportunity to reprise Bible on the Dash. Short of that the distaff side seems under represented...how about Elizabeth Cook, she tours almost everywhere or The Whiskey Sisters? Regardless, looks like a great line up. 6 yrs and counting. Can't wait.

MJ

May 29, 2013

how about all of the below - -shall be grand!

May 20, 2013

How about Robert Earl Keene or Hayes Carll or Lyle Lovett or Jack Ingram or Ryan Bingham to replace Guy Clark.

Or Stoney LaRue or Gary P Nunn....just saying.

See you August!

May 13, 2013

How about Pistol Annies to replace Guy?

May 9, 2013

Its been awhile since living in challis. Flying the backcountry for Air Unlimited, and living in Challis until 1983 was the greatest time in my life. I enjoyed you guys there and Boise when ever I could catch you when in town. Looking forward to hearing everyone again in August.

May 9, 2013

We are coming in from South Carolina. So looking forward to it. Got place to stay, flight, ticket for the show and just3 months to think about it.
Tomorrow we are heading to Charlotte NC for Reckless show at "The Neighborhood Theater"
Really great when they play over here.

May Rippy

May 5, 2013

Any one of these would kick ass in Guy's spot:
Ryan Bingham (playing CA weekend before)
Whiskey Myers (playing Rawlins WY 8/9)
Stoney LaRue (no gigs showing on his site for that weekend!!)
Hayes Carll (he actually will be playing the weekend before in Hailey so he will already be in the area!!!)
